• Multipoint network has a single communication channel that is shared by the machine in the network


• When a machine send a data,it will be received by all the others.An address field associated with the data specifies for which destination,it is intended


• When a machine receives a packet,it will check the addres fieeld .if it is intended for itself,it processes the packet or packet is just ignored
