PROCEDURE

 

1. Power off phone.

2. Press and hold vol up, home button, and power button for about 5 seconds.

3. It will say something about an update, wait about 20 seconds for it to boot into stock recovery.

4. Use vol buttons to navigate and power to select “wipe cache partition”

5. Reboot, DONE. 6. No data is going to be wiped.
